A quasi 40 anni dalla prematura scomparsa del geniale cantautore calabro-romano, tornano in scena alcuni dei suoi brani più significativi, in uno spettacolo-memorial che ripercorre le tappe più importanti della breve ma intensa carriera artistica di un personaggio ormai entrato nel mito. RINO GAETANO BAND è la tribute band ufficiale nata con la prima formazione nel 1999 da una idea di Anna Gaetano, sorella del cantautore e che ha rivisitato e arrangiato alcune tra le più belle sue opere. I cantanti Alessandro greyVision (nipote di Rino) e Ivan Almadori portano in scena assieme a Michele Amadori, Alberto Lombardi, Fabio Fraschini e Marco Rovinelli, uno spettacolo musicale articolato tra immagini e canzoni atte ad un pensiero comune: ricordare “RINO” e risentire le sue emozioni, quasi a voler salutare un amico, un fratello… Ogni live è un emozionante viaggio attraverso i suoi più grandi successi come GIANNA, AIDA, AHI MARIA, A MANO A MANO, SFIORIVANO LE VIOLE, BERTA FILAVA, MA IL CIELO E SEMPRE PIU’ BLU, NUNTEREGGAE PIU’ .. Nel corso di vent’anni di attività, la band ha calcato i palchi di tutta la penisola: Hiroshima Mon Amour, Flog, The Cage, Ravello Film Festival, Terrazza del Pincio, Fillmore, Il Federiciano, Parco Schuster, Thunder Road, Estragon, Velvet, .. ed ha nel frattempo accompagnato Paolo Rossi nella presentazione di un brano inedito della produzione di Rino (“In Italia si sta male”) al Festival di Sanremo 2007 oltre che al Primo Maggio a Roma in Piazza San Giovanni. Nel 2011 nasce l’Associazione Culturale Italiana “Rino Gaetano” che si occupa dell’organizzazione dell’unico raduno ufficiale ”RINO GAETANO DAY” evento gratuito e solidale che unisce oltre 20 mila amici e fan e svoltosi durante le sue passate edizioni nella splendida cornice di Piazza Sempione a Roma, a pochi passi da dove ha vissuto il cantautore.
